CK_Pack_10 Contents
Guide CPU readings from Intel Pentium4 1.5Ghz
For details on CPU readings and how to compare with other systems/modules see:- CPU Guide
Example .SE1 prefab files provided may use modules from other CK_Packs
Pack_10 is aimed at commercial SE_VST developers and is supplemental to Pack_9
*Note: 'Tool' modules can only be run in SynthEdit
**Price Reduced** CK_Pack_10 is now £16 GBP (previously £30)
For information on the CK_Sample System and Technical information see:- Sample_Tech
Sample_Wave_Display

Displays the sample shape
*New* options to highlight a sample Loop section
Loop (R,G,B) colour settings (-1 turns it off)
Loop_Start% and Loop_End% settings
'Reverse' display option
You can display a sample region similar to a 'zoom' function
(*)Very Large samples can take a short while to update the display
** New Modules: Sample_Wave_Overlay **

Overlays extra Loop and Playback position markers on a CK_Sample_Wave_Display window
Options:- Start%, Size%, Loop Start%, Loop End%, Sample Position%, Reverse
Position (R,G,B), Loop (R,G,B), Loop_Display_Mode (L/R, Box)
CK_Sample_Instrument (Loader) *New V2 version*

This module loads 'CK_Instrument' (.CKi) files into system RAM
You can use more than one 'Sample Instrument' to create 'Banks' if required
However, it is recommended that 'Instruments' are loaded as and when required - this reduces overall RAM usage
A CK_Instrument does not have to be an 'instrument' per se
It is simply a collection of up to 128 samples with optional multi-sampling information
You can use a CK_Instrument file for Instruments, DrumKits, FX Kits, Phrase Kits, 'Sample Banks' or 'Rompler Banks'
or for any situation where you need a collection of samples in RAM without the hassle of handling separate .wav files
Individual samples within a CK_Instrument file can be accessed via the 'Sample_File_Choice' modules (Pack 9)
Sample_InstrumentV2: *NEW V2 Module*
Loading System: (Background, Immediate)
Background: All other Audio continues to play while samples are being loaded
Immediate: All samples are loaded immediately causing Audio to stop and CPU Spikes
Instrument File: Sets the Instrument filename to load
Stereo Mode: (Mono, Stereo) If set to 'Mono' all Stereo samples are converted to Mono internally
This is ideal if your synth only has a mono signal path and reduces RAM memory use
Normalise(dBFS): (OFF, 0db,-6,-12,-18,-24) All samples are 'Peak Normalised' to the setting internally
0 dBFS = +/-10v
LoFi: (OFF,1/2,1/4,1/8,1/16) All samples are 'degraded' by the Ratio resulting in 'crunchy' sounds
1/2 setting can be used in many cases to reduce RAM memory usage without too much loss of sound quality
Any setting other than 'OFF' will affect Loop points - most affected would be 'wavecycle' loops
Unlock Keycode: For use with 'Locked/Encrypted' files
Sample Instrument Tool (Creator)

Sample Instrument Tool:
This module creates 'CK_Instrument' (.CKi) files
A 'CK_Instrument' contains all the Multisampling information and all Samples in one file
This makes it very easy to manage Instruments, Drum/Phrase/FX Kits etc
Destination File: Specify the filename of the 'CK_Instrument'
Lock/Unlock Keycode: The 'Keycode' used to Lock/Encrypt all the CK_Instrument sample files (6-128 characters)
This makes it very easy to Lock/Encrypt all samples contained in the CK_Instrument file
If left empty the samples are copied into the CK_Instrument and are prone to 'hacking'
You cannot use this Locking facility on .WAV files that are already Locked
Normalise(dBFS): (OFF, 0db,-6,-12,-18,-24) The samples will be stored 'Peak Normalised' to the setting
0 dBFS = +/-10v
Create Instrument File(button): This 'trigger' creates the file when you have finished editing
Other Links: Other links match the 'Multisampling Control' modules (See Pack 9)
Sample #1-128: Filenames of each sample .WAV
Tuning (ratio) #1-128: You can set the 'Tuning' of each individual sample
Normally for 'Instruments' this would always be '1.0' but for Drum/Phrase/FX Kits it allows extra sonic possibilities
Pan/Bal #1-128: Each sample can be assigned individual Pan/Balance settings (-5= Left 0= Centre +5= Right)
Tuning and Pan/Balance options allow great sonic flexibility for multisampled Drum/Phrase/FX Kits etc
'.WAV' Sample Tools

Sample Add Loop Info:
Adds 'CK_Proprietary' extended Loop information to .WAV files
Wave Filename: Specify the .WAV sample filename
Normalise(dBFS): (OFF, 0db,-6,-12,-18,-24) The .WAV sample will be 'Peak Normalised' to the setting
0 dBFS = +/-10v
Update File(button): This 'trigger' updates the .WAV file and adds the Loop information when you have finished editing
Other Links: Other links match the 'Sample Player' modules (See Pack 9)
Sample LOCK Tool:
'Locks' (Encrypts) .WAV files using a 'Keycode'
Locked files will not load into sample editors and the raw sample data encrypts into 'Noise'
Lock/Unlock Keycode: The 'Keycode' used to Lock/Encrypt the .WAV file (6-128 characters)
Normalise(dBFS): (OFF, 0db,-6,-12,-18,-24) The .WAV sample will be 'Peak Normalised' to the setting
0 dBFS = +/-10v
Source Filename: Specify the source .WAV sample filename (*Source files are not modified)
Destination Path: Specifies the Destination 'Folder' where the Locked files will be saved
To Use:- Set the Keycode, Normalise and Destination Path then press 'Play'
Select your Source files individually - each one will be Locked and saved into the Destination Folder
Keep selecting files until finished
